True, this isn't the toughest or most interesting question we've ever tackled, but enough people write in requesting an answer that we felt it was high time for a little Browser 101.
Deleting your web history is a pretty straightforward process. Here are instructions for the four most popular browsers:
- Netscape Navigator - Under the "Tools" tab, scroll down to "Options." Click "Privacy" on the left, then click "Clear" under "Page History."
- Internet Explorer - Under the "Tools" tab, scroll down to "Internet Options." A separate window will pop up. Click the "Clear History" button.
- Safari - Under the "History" tab, scroll down to "Clear History."
- Firefox - Under the "Tools" tab, scroll down to "Options." Click the "Clear History" button.

• Select Tools -> Internet Options
• Select "Privacy".
• In Private area click "Clear Now".
• In "Clear Private Data" window put the check mark for "Browsing history" and click "Clear Private Data Now".
• Click OK.

• Select Tools -> Internet Options
• Select "Privacy".
• Open "History" tab and click "Clear Browsing history now".
