The city that hosts the annual Twins Days gathering is Twinsburg, Ohio. This is not a coincidence. We learned a little about the history of the world-famous, homegrown festival for multiples, their families, and friends on the Twins Days official site, which we located by searching on "twins festival." What began in 1976 with 37 pairs of twins in attendance, drew record crowds in 1999 -- 2,567 registered sets of twins and an estimated total of over 65,000 visitors.
Twins Days 2000 will take place August 4-6; registration details will soon be available online. Our search also turned up links to many unofficial Twins Days pages, featuring wonderful photos of past gatherings, like the doubly-exuberant photo albums of John andCharles Robinson.
Our searching uncovered both official and unofficial hometown pages for Twinsburg, offering information about the small city situated between Cleveland and Akron.
