Vijayalakshmi director Agathiyan's daughter, has had back-to-back hits in 'Chennai 600028' and 'Anjathay' But,it would be far from the truth to say that her role in both the films was the reason for the moving being successful films. 

Vijayalakshmi, who featured in "Chennai-28" and "Anjathey", has finally been selected to play opposite Rajinikanth in the "live action" portion of the animation film "Sultan the Warrior" being produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth's Ocher Studio and Warner Brothers. 

She was seen telling whoever bothered to listen to her that she was on the look-out for meaningful roles that would offer her chance to prove her mettle as an actress. Such a role seems to have fallen on her lap with the launch of 'Adhae Neram, Adhae Idam', directed by Prabhu who had worked as an assistant director with S.J. Suryah. She said she liked the story as well as her character in the film.
